Clint Eastwood, you just made our day.
The 89-year-old Hollywood icon appeared at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, an event he has graced over the years, but during a live interview he seemed a little off.
Eastwood is an investor in the Pebble Beach Golf Links and is chairman of the Monterey Peninsula Foundation board and attends the tournament every year. He joined host Jim Nantz and golf legend Nick Faldo in the CBS booth on Sunday.
But as Nantz and Faldo talked golf, fans couldn’t help but watch as Eastwood sat off to the side in a daze. Whatever he was looking at had his full attention.
Nantz eventually attempted to bring the screen legend into the conversation but it remained awkward.
“Speaking of young lads, this great guy right here … Clint,” Nantz said, as he put a hand on Eastwood’s knee.
“Yes, you called,” Eastwood responded.
Nantz went on to tell Eastwood he’d be heading down to the trophy presentation.
“I will present you with the award because you’re such a nice guy,” Eastwood responded.
Of course social media had some fun with the footage. Some believed a monitor showing the golf was what had captured his attention.
The vision of Eastwood drifting off is a scenario every person has found themselves in at one point, whether it be in the middle of a meeting or in the middle of a conversation.
