A potential Lakers-Clippers postseason showdown could have an added wrinkle: Twin brothers facing each other.
Marcus Morris recently landed in Los Angeles with the Clippers after he was dealt by the Knicks before the deadline. Now his brother Markieff could be headed to the Western Conference-leading Lakers, according to The Athletic. The Lakers are the front-runner for Markieff, who is reportedly a free agent after being granted a buyout by the Pistons.
The 6-foot-8 Markieff was having a decent season in Detroit, averaging 11 points per game on 45 percent shooting from the field. Marcus was the Knicks’ leading scorer before being dealt, scoring a career-best 19.6 points per game.
The twins were together on Monday, back at Kansas as Marcus had his jersey retired. They could be together again soon, playing for the rival Lakers and Clippers in Los Angeles.
