The Rangers have played their way back into a playoff race in the Eastern Conference, sitting six points out of the final spot. On the newest episode of the “Up In The Blue Seats” podcast, Ron Duguay opens the show talking about the Rangers beating the Blackhawks on Wednesday night for their fifth win in six games. Ron and I discuss what the team might do ahead of the Feb. 24 trade deadline. We also discuss Henrik Lundqvist’s future with the Rangers beyond this season.

NY Post Rangers beat writer Larry Brooks then drops by in his weekly spot. Brooks discusses whether the Rangers will be buyers or sellers, the goalie situation with Lundqvist, Chris Kreider’s status and the playoff race. Can this team find a way to sneak in?

Former Ranger Bernie Nicholls then joins the show. Nicholls talks about playing alongside Wayne Gretzky, scoring 70 goals in a season, his time in New York and memories with Hollywood Ron. Ron and Bernie talk about the celebrities who would come to their games when they were teammates in Los Angeles and Ron missing practice when the Kings visited New York. Nicholls also talks about being a part-owner of “All Sports Market,” a company that invests in teams.

In “Ron Remembers,” he looks back at a story partying with Jack Nicholson. “Here’s Johnny.”
