A battle of opposite trends will be in effect on Saturday in College Station, Texas, as the SEC’s top Under team, Texas A&M, will be playing host to Mississippi State.

The Bulldogs are 18-8 to the Over this season, but may need to do a lot of the scoring by themselves with the Aggies ranking 347th of 353 Division I teams in 3-point shooting percentage and standing 15-10 to the Under.

Mississippi State also has allowed at least 70 points in seven straight games and is 11-2 to the Over in conference play, but Texas A&M has scored 70 or more points just three times in its last 24 games.

The Aggies also have done a solid job of slowing games down, rating 326th in college basketball in total possessions per game, while Mississippi State is not necessarily a blazer itself at 267th in the nation in that category.

Though Overs have been hot for Mississippi State in conference play, bookmakers have taken note, and the lack of 3-point shooting for the Aggies, coupled with a slow pace for both teams, should lead to a lower-scoring affair.
